Dexterity and inteligence

For what Do you need dexterity and inteligence? In my opinion its a pretty useless Stat at the moment. Or am i wrong? P.s. Im Not the experienced player (lvl 40)

Dex is attack speed and dodge rate.int is defence for total armor and reduced damage
