Another boring day

I have millions of gold pieces and a souls but I can't go any further... My equipment has become so so at best! Can't get past the levels I'm at due to low defenses and no gems to update my equipment! Been stuck for a month like this! I love my game but feel like I ain't going no further until a major act of god happens!
