NO FREE GEMS!

The game gives me a notification that if I log in I will receive 50 gems. This is false. I never received any kind of contribution. After being left steamed by the experience. I decided to try and download an app and play it from there "Free Gems" section. Then I downloaded and played the first level of EXIT HERO. Another game from the same developer's. Did I receive any gems for trying. No, I did not. WHAT IS THE POINT OF "FREE GEMS" IF EVERYTHING IS A FLUKE?
