So what is the deal with the gems I was reading the comments and it said 8 gems earned for this comment and stuff like that ok another things do the wings mach your amor set or is it just go with one suit color

The gems is negligible. And the wings match the color of the unique items you are equipped preferably the color of the unique sword IMO. As you browse through old post of complete items with with wings you'll see...
