Magic Absorption - Bug ?

Hello,

I have invested a few essences in what seemed like a fairly broken skill : Magic Absorption.

I am now at 30% chances to redirect a magic attack to the Sorcerer with 1100 HP, which is supposed to regenerate "MP equal to 2% of the Sorcerer's HP", so 22 MP then. I have set myself to witnessing such a miracle happen in actual battle... Then waited a bit more... Then a bit more... I am really starting to wonder whether the tooltip on this skill is correct, or if it functions properly.

Is this a known fact ? Did I just spend points in a skill that is officially not working ? Or did I misunderstand the benefits ?
