Horror link decreases enemy's defense stat by certain amount of percentage, which stacks up to 98%. This is a mandatory for all the other content except yard because the defense stat increases sharply in higher stages.

Recommend you to start using your link book on devil armor evade / cursed accessories dark.

There are two ways to work on link.

1. Keep the item and reset link with diasius upgrade stone
2. Gather multiple sets of items first and use link book. Keep the high tier options (Crit dmg or skill dmg increase 70% above, horror 8-10%, spear and shield 0.15 -0.2%) since you can get a transfer scroll once you finish horror link and start farming.

I prefer 2nd but it depends on you to choose.
